Project #14

Zulu Bus: Jon’s 1967 split came in with an original SO-42 interior but sadly it had some water damage. Loving the original interior design he asked me to build a new one in oak but with some tweaks for his photography business. He needed some of the cabinets to be slightly bigger than the original [...]

BOB AND KATHY: This was a very exciting project, as Bob and Kathy’s Bus was one of the last 200 air-cooled Brazilian Bays. ANDY: Andy came to Simon wanting a copy of an Early curved cabinet Devon interior. After Andy sourced one on the Internet to borrow for a template, Simon faithfully reproduced it, building it to exact specification, but adapting it to fit the barn door rear engine bay. Featured in Volksworld.

Project #2

STUART: Stuart bought his van to Interior Motive with the instruction to create ‘something special’. Simon relished the challenge of the blank canvas and created the first curved interior. This interior certainly turned heads when it hit the scene in 2005. Featured in Volksworld  and David Eccles Custom Interior book. Winner at Volksworld: Best Interior [...]
